Spaulding & Co. was a luxury goods and jewelry store in Chicago, that, among other things, was the exclusive dealer for Gorham's Martele line in the midwest in the early 1900s...so eight months into the Depression Spaulding forged an alliance with Gorham to strengthen its financial standing (???)...
