I am trying to identify the pattern and manufacturer of silver flatware purchased in 1930. The stamp on the back of the pieces looks like a bird, then an "R" in a shield, then a lion. These symbols are followed by the word "sterling: The pattern is hard to describe. The flatware is square-ish in shape and is monogrammed on the front of each piece. The design has a simple leaf pattern that runs from the base of the handle into the bowl of the spoon. There is a double line outlining the handle, and the leaf pattern decorates the top of the handle. That's the best I can do without an image at this point. Thanks for any help you can give. definitely by Reed & Barton squarish? Are the sides of the handle paralell? Is the end of the handle cut off squarely? Are both sides of the handle straight but not paralell? ------------------ IP: Logged |
