I have a tea pot, it has serious grapes and the grape pattern all over it. It has big bunches of grapes everywhere, the grapes stick up everywhere. The only marks on this tea pot is "EGW&S, EPNS, 5336, Hand Chased" Can anyone help me with the origin, age or any info. Thanks, IP: Logged |

Hello Rick, I know very little about silver but this seems to be silver plate (EPNS = Electro plated Nickel silver) - EGW&S being the maker of the item. I am afraid that is all I can assist you with and hopefully someone on these boards will be able to give you a more accurate response. Good luck! IP: Logged |

EGW&S is the company E. G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn NY. The firm was in business from 1886-1928 and was known primarily for its silver-plate holloware featuring exuberant chasing and reposse work. IP: Logged |
