[01-2086] I have a small pitcher or maybe it's a creamer made by the D & C International Silver Company. Patented 8-27-1918. The mark looks like a hammer with a number 2 beside it. Do you know anything about this piece or company?

This looks to be a pitcher or server for syrup. The D & C refers to a company which used it. D & C could be a restaurant, hotel, department store, rail road etc. The cover over the pouring lip is the give away: usually a creamer has an open lip, syrups have covered ones. A very nice little piece. Now, to figure out what D & C was. IP: Logged |

Do you know who the mark belongs to on the bottom of the pitcher? What company made it? IP: Logged |

International Silver Co. is the largest manufacturer of plated ware (they also produced sterling). Do a forum search for International Silver Co. That should get you started. IP: Logged |
