[01-2304] I've never seen this mark before: B.H.CO. It is on the base of a repousse tea caddy. Does anyone know who it is?

There is an identical caddy, along with a tea set and several other pieces, elsewhere. It appears that whoever the maker was, he made a specialty of the style. IP: Logged |

Thanks wev. The quality of the chasing on the piece I have is pretty good (not great). I can't find this mark in any of my American books. Could it be Canadian? IP: Logged |

I found two possibilities, both of which may be long shots: Boardman Hall of N.Y. and Philadelphia, registered from 1845-56 Barbour Hall of Hartford, Conn., established 1890. Good luck, IP: Logged |

Tom, If you meant Barbour Hobson Co. of Hartford Connecticut, I think that might be a possibility. They were in existence for only a couple of years which might explain the rarity of the mark. IP: Logged |

Yes, looks like I mistakenly copied "Hall" twice. Tom IP: Logged |
