[01-2659] I'm curious to see if anyone can guess who made this (unless of course you already know):

The design is classic for a Danish piece. Early part of the 20th century. The most obvious designer would be Jensen. I am not familiar with this pattern. It appears to be a hand mirror. Fred IP: Logged |

I don't know for sure, but it might be La Paglia (who worked for himself and International Silver Co.) or it may just be Mexican. The proportions of the piece are a little exaggerated to be danish, but then again..."This is a puzzlement". Thanks for the challenge. IP: Logged |

If it is American I would guess Peer Smed or John P. Pettersen. Definate Scandinavian influence. Fred IP: Logged |

I would have guessed an American mass producer like international or Gorham. IP: Logged |

I like it, looks American to me too, but doesn't have a hand-wrought look to it for me. One of my favorite makers came out with a couple of nice Scandinavian-inspired flatware designs in the '30s, have seen similar designs on small bowls, etc. by the same maker, and they made dresser items, and has a nice attention to detail that I'd expect from them - so I'm guessing Watson. ~Cheryl IP: Logged |
