At the same auction where I purchased the Williams flatware in the last posting I made...I bought a creamer and sugar bowl that have what looks like a crown with 18 and one side of the crown and 83 on the other. Under the crown: FB Rogers Silver Co, Sterling under that: Weighted, under that the number 233 and then engraved the name:"Margaret Rose". Questions: Is "Margaret Rose" is the pattern name? Is the "Margaret Rose" engraved or stamped and is it on the bottom or side of the pieces? Can you provide a picture of the marks? There was a Margaret Rose pattern (flatware and holloware) introduced by the National Silver Co. in 1938. Also, the F.B. Rogers Silver Co. became a division of the National Silver Co. in 1955. There could be a connection, but without a picture, it's difficult to tell. IP: Logged |
