Today Ulysses gave us a fabulous tour of the Newark Museum. If you have never been to this museum, you need to get there because it is one of the best in the northeast. Here is a snapshot from today. Thank you Ulysses. More later......

11/19/99 Dear Ulysses: Thank you very much for the intimate tour of the Newark Museum's silver collections and a once in a lifetime chance to hear what goes into building a public collection. Too many times, collections are put together and both the history and artistic merit of an object gets lost in the process. You are doing an excellent job of selecting and presenting beautiful objects in their historical context. I was impressed by your knowledge and dedication and I joined the museum as a vote of confidence in you and what you are trying to accomplish. I am looking forward to the many happy hours I shall spend with some of the other collections. Sincerely, Priscilla IP: Logged |
