I just received a 12 piece place setting of, I believe Berkshire - 1847 Rogers Bros. The knives have some wear to them. Is it possible to have them replated? Or should they be left the way they are? This is silverware I intend to use and enjoy. IP: Logged |

This is not really a curatorial sort of opinion, but while you could certainly have it replated (check your yellow pages), the question is would it be worth it, given the value of plated flatware sets these days. One thing to do is check out the cost of a brand-new plated flatware set at a department store, and see how that compares to the cost of replating. IP: Logged |
