Hello Mr. Dietz. Some friends have advised me of an upcoming appraisal event near their home with the appraiser being a David Willis. They were told he serves as a decorative arts appraisal consultant for the Newark Musem. They have asked me if I was familiar with him (I am not), as they wished to bring some silver to be appraised. Can you verify this information please. Thank you for any help you can offer as to verifying his credentials. Jersey IP: Logged |

As this is a very touchy area may I make a suggestion. Contact the host of the event and ask them to provide the requested information. If they are unable or unwilling then contact the museum directly. An online answer could potentially involve legal repercussions. Hopefully it is nothing to be concerned about but I do understand why you are asking. Enjoy the event. IP: Logged |

I know David, and he has done appraisals for the Museum in the past, and done them very well. IP: Logged |
