A really nifty dated covered ewer, made by Ball, Thompkins & Black in 1844 for William Rhinelander. It represents an early flourishing of the full-blown rococo style. Plus it's a rare form.
It's in the dining room of the Ballantine House. And along with it is a great Japanese style bell by Gorham from the 1880s. IP: Logged |
