Alex Hitz is an Atlanta born celebrity chef, cookbook author, socialite, philanthropist and above all entertainment specialist extraordinaire. He has cooked for first ladies, movie stars and royalty. In this weekend's Wall Street Journal, he revealed in an interview that his Southern roots include an affinity for family silver and monogrammed linen napkins. Can you identify the soup spoon pattern and maker in the accompanying image?

Gorham Etruscan? No, not quite. It's missing the square spirals. IP: Logged |

It looks like Gorham/Durgin Fairfax, but other companies made similar patterns so it is hard to tell. I'm assuming that it a monogram and not a design on the handle. IP: Logged |

The fork on the left looks like it has a different shoulder than the one on the Durgin/Gorham Fairfax fork. It couild just be that my monitor is not that crisp. IP: Logged |

Well I have a feeling that the place setting we're looking at is mixed which is why I focused on the soup spoon. Looks like Durgin Fairfax to me. Below is: Etruscan
and Fairfax
