A Happy Thanksgiving Day to all. This is a good day to bring out some silver and china. The silver flatware and goblets are by many different US silversmiths; mostly from the 1840s or 50s. The plates are a pattern called "Bentick" that was introduced by John Ridgway & Co. around 1840. It was a very versatile pattern, came in various colors and continued to be made by predecessors of Ridgway well into the 20th century. I just noticed that I forgot to put out the bread and butter plates so that says something about taking pictures before a party. IP: Logged |

Above picture includes the bread and butter plate with a pearl handled butter knife. This plate and the service plate are made by Fritz and Floyd and the pattern is Medallion d’Or. It is a great color for this time of year. IP: Logged |
