Does anyone have information on an Oscar B. Bach? I recently saw some silver goblets for sale by him, but I have no references for him. I personally have a modernistic aluminum dish marked "STERLING BRONZE CO." and "NEW YORK", with a script signature of Oscar B. Bach. I would assume that he worked in mid-century, and he was obviously not limited to silver. As always, any information would be appreciated.

Oscar B. Bach was a pretty famous metal sculptor in the 1930' and 40's.

Rockefeller Center was designed by architect, Raymond Hood and was constructed between 1932 and 1940. The buildings which make up Rockefeller Center also flaunt the work of sculptor's Lee Lawrie, Hildreth Meiers, and Oscar B. Bach, whose works include "Wisdom", the Radio City Plaques, and the sculptures of Atlas and Prometheus. At the Empire State Building, Oscar B. Bach designed the map of New York City that appears in the lobby. At the Reynolda House, Museum of American Art in Winston-Salem, NC he did a pair of white cast-iron backless ettees with oblong ferneries with bird and fawn panels.
