Brent Posts: 1507 Registered: May 99	posted 02-07-2001 10:22 AM I recently encountered a similar fork, but in bad condition. Surprisingly, it just has the G.S. stamp and STERLING; no winged hammer. Have you seen other pieces of Gaylord without the trademark? IP: Logged
Scott Martin Forum Master Posts: 11520 Registered: Apr 93	posted 02-07-2001 12:34 PM I have always seen the silver with the "winged hammer" mark. I don't know when the "winged hammer" mark was first used. I suppose you could have been looking at very early Gaylord silver. Scott Braznell has done a lot research on Gaylord, maybe the next time he visits the Silver Salon he will tell us his opinion. IP: Logged
