See the Gaylord forum thread at:
Gaylord Silvercraft (Winged Hammer Mark — ?)

Since Gaylord is a 20th Century shop, I thought I would start a fresh post here. We recently found this (7.75", 1.37 troy ounce) fork:

Are there any other examples out there?

I recently encountered a similar fork, but in bad condition. Surprisingly, it just has the G.S. stamp and STERLING; no winged hammer. Have you seen other pieces of Gaylord without the trademark?

I have always seen the silver with the "winged hammer" mark. I don't know when the "winged hammer" mark was first used. I suppose you could have been looking at very early Gaylord silver. Scott Braznell has done a lot research on Gaylord, maybe the next time he visits the Silver Salon he will tell us his opinion.

I don't have any, but I've seen a number of pieces of jewelry made by GS; I usually see bangle bracelets. Sometimes they turn up on eBay.
