Hi Brent: I was going through my files and find your message posted Sept. 19 of last year regarding HANDWROUGHT CW STERLING. Did you ever find out who made this? You thought it was either American or Canadian. I have no likely CW in my Canadian database. Can you tell/sense how old the bracelet is? There are a couple of American possibilities. PA! IP: Logged |

Thanks for writing. Check out the thread again; I was able to post a picture of the actual marks. I still do not have an ID on this piece. In my dreams it is Clara Welles, founder of the Kalo shop, but I know it is unlikely. The piece is a simple heavy bangle with molded ridges on either side of the slightly domed center. It look like it was drawn, then cut and bent into a ring. If I had to guess I would say it is pre-1950, but I may be wrong. I am not a jewelry expert, but I am learning! Thanks again! Hi Brent: I did see the image of the mark. The only names I could think of in my American list were Clara Welles [!] or Margret Craver Withers. I don't know how Margret signed her name, but it sounds like it could be hers. What do you think? Callie IP: Logged |
