Another viewer of this forum suggested this topic under "A Quest for New Topics", so I thought I would start a new thread. From what I can gather, Alfredo Sciarrotta was a prolific 20th-century craftsman. He apparently worked in Newport, RI. He made pieces for a variety of fine silver outlets, including Bailey, Banks & Biddle, Tiffany and Cartier. I have seen silver pieces of his with their original paper hang tags as well. Most of his designs seem to be a blend of modernism and arts & crafts. Judging by their abundance in the secondary market, his pieces sold well, or at least steadily over a long period. This is all I know right now. Anyone have more information to contribute? IP: Logged |
