Does anyone have any information on Edward Gentry, a silversmith working in Nevada? He was my Great-Grandfather and would be interested in any info. IP: Logged |

Hi! Sorry, but the name doesn't ring a bell. Any idea what time period we are looking at? Was he trained, or self taught? Do you know if he make tableware, jewelry, watches, etc.? Better yet, do you have any examples of his work? Any additional information would be helpful. Brent IP: Logged |

The time period is the early 1900s. I don't know about his education in the craft. All I know is that he left his family in Oregon and went first to Alaska for the Gold and then to Tonopah, NV for the silver. He is supposed to have died in Tonopah in the 20s or 30s, but can't find any death record. He also did some painting, and we have two of his oils. That's really all I have. IP: Logged |
