I have in my possesion a small clock which I am hoping to find info on. The main frame is stamped on the back "HAMILTON SILVER Co. CHICAGO" then is stamped "PATENT APP'D FOR". The clock works is stamped "MADE IN USA" on the rear of the clock. It also is stamped "PAT'S. OCT,28 1902"(LINE 1), "MAY 16, 1906"(LINE 2), then "PATENTS PDG.". This is a piece which I recently purchased at auction with hopes of detialing its history and restoring. Any information will be very appreciatted. EW IP: Logged |

Here is Eric's clock. Rainwater lists a Hamilton Manufacturing Co., active in Chicago in 1895, but offers no more information. Any ideas from anyone? Could there be a link to the Hamilton Watch Company? Perhaps this company was formed solely to produce clock cases? Brent IP: Logged |
