Am looking for information on silver shaker set with the following information on bottom of set:
Astor Shaker Set by S Poole, the # 564 and a hallmark which resembles the bust of a man with a hat and plume or maybe a helmet and around the neck area what appears to be ruffles. I have not been able to find any information under the name of Poole and nothing under hallmarks.

Would you have any information as to where I could do further research?

It sounds like it could be one of the marks used by the Poole Silver Co., Taunton, MA. See:

Rainwater's "Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers" has further information on the company, but no information on the mark itself.
