Has anyone seen any Lily of the Valley pieces with the marks

"STERLING
DENMARK"

"ARGENTERIE D'ARTDE
GEORG JENSEN"

I bought a set with different marks, some with the oval dotted Georg Jensen marks, others with "GI" and yet others with the marks above. Can anyone tell me if the above mark of "ARGENTERIE D'ARTE
GEORG JENSEN"
is authentic?

This is the first time I have come across it.

Thank you.

We have seen marks :import de Copenhagen, which means the silver was export to France
perhaps it is the import marks of Argentina. Have you seen other import marks? Are the georg Jensen marks correct on the pieces?

Thank you for your reply. I have checked the pieces of the Lily of the Valley and they have different marks, I will take photos and post the photos of the marks. They look authentic, I checked the number of buds on the handles and terminals as against the web sites of other stores specializing in Georg Jensen and they seem to match. I have noted that the GI or GJ seems to be in a circle rather than a square although it is not too clear. Have you seen any Lily of the Valley which has been copied?

I believe your set was retailed in Paris, France. The term "ARGENTERIE D'ARTE GEORG JENSEN" in French, loosely translates as "articles (or items) of silver by Georg Jensen". The word "arte" being a diminutive of article. Possibly also the phrase could translate to "art objects of silver by Georg Jensen" (as in "objet d'art"). "Argenterie" has nothing at all to do with the country of Argentina.
Otherwise is it "artde" or "arte" or "art de" in your marks? The word "de" would mean "by" in French.
