Hello, I hope someone can help me with this silversmith's mark - I believe American but am not sure. This is from a very good creamer and sugar bowl. Thanks in advance for your help! Here is the picture: IP: Logged |

Hello Avalata, Very interesting marks. The key is probably "HANDARBEIT", which translates as Hand Made in German. The 925 FINE and STERLING stamps can also be found on modern German silver. The heart stamp is almost certainly the maker's personal stamp. If I had to make a quick guess, I would say that your set is quite modern, probably less than 30 years old, and made either in Germnay or by a German craftsman in another country.
