These serving pieces were made by Fargo, but I have had no luck finding out who Fargo is.

I recently saw an additional set of Fargo servers but there was no attribution. I will keep my eyes open to see if I can find info on the maker. Fred IP: Logged |

At craft fairs and such, I have encountered silversmiths who have moved beyond making jewelry into flatware and holloware. The work is generally quite good and frequently very inventive. These smiths use a mark along the general format of the one shown. Many of them cater to Neo-Pagans and Renaissance Faire people. So, my idiot question is: does a registry that would take names and locations for such silversmiths exist? Many of them are left over hippies who revived a craft. Frequently by first making copies of old patterns (ie salt spoons). They have spent many years dodging silver companies attorneys, so they tend to be a bit shy. Whoever Fargo is, he/she made nice silver. IP: Logged |
