Looks like a bell with a 50 inside, above PLATA D? ???? then 925 and under that V.H.L.C. and under that GUAD.MEX. What I have are Silver Tips for toe of cowboy boots. IP: Logged |

Your silver tips are Mexican, the bell mark (originally supposed to be an eagle!) was in use from the late 1940s to the mid 1970s. I hope this will narrow down your search for more information. IP: Logged |

Your tips were made in Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The eagle stamps with a number were assigned to identify the different taller shops or manufacturers in the country. Some research has been done to assign these numbers to the makers but this is sketchy and often not reliable. The initials are possibly the name of the silversmith. Good luck IP: Logged |
