Cheers Thanks Scott Shock Horror it looks like the spoon dates back to 1778 if the silver mines web it is any thing to go by? I thought it was 1930s, I'm all confused . But I must say what turned out to be a something I picked up to sell has turned into a real interesting journey thanks to your highly entertaining web site. Thank you IP: Logged |

OK nobody loves me. That's OK I'm a grown lad and I can handle it. There's something odd about this spoon. I can't quite imagine that it was made in 1778 surely it would be a lot more worn than it is? IP: Logged |

You might want to check with the United Grand Lodge of England (English Freemasonry) about this souvenir spoon. There is a Brotherhood Lodge #3967 which is part of the North Blackpool Group

Thank so much Mr. Scott Martin, you are a man among men. I feel I am in some Conan Doyle novel, I can't remember when I had so much fun (sounds quite sad). I am now going to become a silver hunter extraordinaire again, thank you. Yours IP: Logged |

Hello Scott,
The spoon turns out to be made in 1928 (only 240 years out, not bad) I've changed it on ebay, again thank you for your kindness. Regards Have a great sliver Christmas IP: Logged |
