SM Publications is pleased to announce a Silver Salon Tour of the Royal Ontario Museum on Saturday, October 28 at 3pm. Dr. Peter Kaellgren, Curator of Decorative Arts at the Royal Ontario Museum, will personally conduct the tour of the current exhibition Silver – The Sterling Choice: Silver from the Norman and Marian Robertson Collection. This collection provides an excellent representation of British silver from 1680 to 1830. Space is limited for this unique opportunity to visit Canada's pre-eminent museum. Please click here for more information and to register.

Toronto has a lot to offer to silverphiles, especially in October. There are many antique shops and the Canadian Antique Dealers Association Show is on. There are flea markets, art galleries, historic sites, the 113 story CN Tower and lots of other shopping and amusements. The restaurants are varied and wonderful and the US dollar buys a lot. The weather should be crisp but comfortable. Public transportation is very good. So why not join us for what is sure to be a fun-filled weekend!

Kudos to Dr. Kaellgren who conducted a very informative and captivating tour of the Robertson Collection of silver at the Royal Ontario Museum. Following the tour, we were joined by some members of the Canadian Silver Society for a scintillating dinner.

Here are a few snapshots of the festivities.
