I have been cleaning drawers and ran across some Kalo flatware I found a few years back at a rummage sale -- 12 soup/ice cream spoons and 3 serving pieces. Along with the normal marks, they are all stamped 6, which I assume is the pattern number. Has this been given a name?

Nice work, Our new member Chicagosilver would probably best qualified to give us an answer. I will contact him and see if he can respond to this. Can you show us full images of the flatware? Fred IP: Logged |

Kalo flatware patterns are listed on p. 53 of Sharon Darling's landmark Chicago Metalsmiths book. This pattern is pictured and referred to as "Ball and Scroll (6)." For some reason complete Kalo flatware sets are very uncommon. We've been acquiring Kalo items for years and have come across just a handful. Even partial sets like this one are hard to come by. Well, that makes sense. thanks. Here are some full pictures of a spoon and servers (pardon the quality -- my daughter made off with my lights and shooting stand for a school project).
