I just ran across a rather nice, lengthy, interview with Gary Griffin from the Smithsonian that I thought folks here would be interested to see. He was the head of metalsmithing at Cranbrook for some time, in 2006 moved his studio to New Mexico. He has worked in many metals, including silver, and with other noted designers/smiths including Jack Prip, Hans Christensen, and Alvin Pine. Anyone have examples they'd like to share? IP: Logged |
