Rather than put this in my curatorial forum, here is a piece from 1990 by Susan Ewing, a silversmith and professor at Miami University NOT in Florida, but in Oxford, Ohio. I've known Susan for a long time, and have two of her pieces in our collection. This "Liberty Bowl," was owned by her teacher, Alma Eikerman, and came to us at Eikerman's bequest.
Here is Susan's mark.
I keep forgetting dimensions: this piece is only 4" high, but 13 x 15 inches across. IP: Logged |

Stunning! Thank you for showing it to us. Does she have pieces for sale? Jersey IP: Logged |

I don't know...she doesn't produce work as if for a gallery (i.e. she doesn't maintain stock). Here is the web address for her bio on the University website: Susan R. Ewing

Looks like a perfectly prickly puzzle cup. [This message has been edited by salmoned (edited 11-13-2008).] IP: Logged |
