In the early part of the 20th century many silversmiths formed partnerships with other silversmiths, to produce or sell objects for each other. Jarvie pieces were sold at the Kalo Shop. Novick made bowls and trays for Kalo. Randahl items were sold in lots of retail stores. A few of these objects bore twin marks. Here are two flatware pieces made by Walter and David Mulholland and sold at Ernest and Walter Gerlach's Cellini Shop. The spoon is a great piece, with its pierced end: The fork is interesting because of the engraved 1917 date, which confirms the information about the Mulholland/Cellini partnership in Darling's Chicago Metalsmiths book: IP: Logged |

I agree with June. That is a great spoon and I would have expected to see the mark of Arthur stone on the backside. Thanks for sharing with us. IP: Logged |
