This is a photo of the fish serving knife and fork I made for my wife for this Christmas. She really likes them.

I wish I had your talent to make things that beautiful. Your wife is a very lucky woman to have received this beautiful gift made from your own hands and love. Thanks for showing them to us.

In looking at the flat server, it reminds me of the shape of a fish, with the handle being its tail. I was thinking that a bit of engraving or embossing for this style of server to make an eye, gill, scales would really complete the image.

middletom, Great piece of work!

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but in response to Kimo's post:

"In looking at the flat server, it reminds me of the shape of a fish, with the handle being its tail. I was thinking that a bit of engraving or embossing for this style of server to make an eye, gill, scales would really complete the image."

I just had to post this fish server.

That fits my hand wrought pattern as well! Great job and I am sure she will use it often.

Thank you, all of you, for your kind words. My wife wants me to correct something. Where I wrote that she really likes the pieces, she wants to assure you that she LOVES them.

Kimo, your thoughts on adding the engraving of a fish sure would be appropriate, and Richard's piece is delightful and dressed up for the job.

I enjoy showing pieces I've made but my greatest pleasure in this posting is that it went smoothly and without drama. Now that I've mastered the technical stuff, in a few days I'll show more pictures of various things.
