Okay, it's not silver, but it's a cool piece of handmade 20th Century metalcraft. This obviously started out as a square sheet of copper. The central bowl is surrounded at the corners with pierced butterflies. Unmarked and unusual.

  • What is the size?
  • And was this jewelry or apart of something else?
  • Also are there any marks?

That has a beautiful surface. It that a result of natural ageing or a process used by the copper smith?

It's a standalone piece 6-1/8" x 6-1/8" and 1/2" H. No marks. Natural aged patina.

I wasn't thinking 6.125 inches.

Might you have other photos? Like the underside? A side view? I can't really see the depth of the top but it sort of reminds me of something might be a finger grip on top of a box.
