Wondered if any of our readers were familiar with this mark: RK & CARGILL in a serrated cartouche with D, lion rampant, and bust psuedo marks following. The teaspoon is a downturned, back tip'd fiddleback with a long mid rib, champhered flared shoulders, and an applied, molded arch drop. (I will try to badger a friend into doing a scan.) IP: Logged |

Meant to mention the only reference I found was for Cargill in Wyler which only states: "Noted" whatever that means. wev IP: Logged |

It probably doesn't get you much closer to your makers here, but there was the New York watchmaker & etc company, Fellows and Cargill. IP: Logged |

Don't know if he was a relative, but there was a Henry A. Cargill of Nashville, Tennessee (c.1836-1839). IP: Logged |
