They are always anxious for us to look at their most recent finds before putting it into their shop. They had some coin silver. One piece sort of rang a bell. I borrowed their PC and logged into your great Genealogy of American Silversmiths tree . This may be the mark for Charles Hequembourg which you are looking for. What do you think? IP: Logged
FredZ Posts: 1070 Registered: Jun 99	posted 05-09-2002 09:46 PM Scott, Bohan & Hammerslough identify the mark you show as Charles Hequembourg Jr. who worked in Connecticut and then in NY. I have a later spoon marked with an incuse Hequenbourg. I believe it is the mark of Charles L. Hequenbourg of St. Louis, MO. IP: Logged

I ran across a nice tablespoon a month back and so have the mark now, but I thank you for keeping my project to mind. Fred, Charles L. was the grandson on Charles Hequembourg of New Haven; in fact he was Charles the IV in the line. Will I be getting a scan of his mark? IP: Logged
