Concerning Bailey & Co. I have researched Silver Magazine, but the marks did not teach me about the ones that I have on an ice cream set.It is marked sterling and has the lion passant facing left which were addressed, but the center mark is not that clear but may be a harp, and the right mark appears to be a crown. Do those marks indicate who made the set for Bailey, and if so can you offer any information? Thank you.

Sounds like your set was made by Peter Krider, whose later mark was [lion facing left] [gothic letter K] [crown].

Thank you for the response about the mark on the Bailey & Co ice cream set. I tried to post a picture but did not succeed. You said you thought it was Peter Krider. You are correct! I located the article about his marks in Silver Magazine where the same marks were addressed and pictured. Thank you again. Regards,Dorothy
