Does anyone know of a confirmed, published mark for Williamsburg, Va. silversmith William Waddill? IP: Logged |

This information is excerpted from a Colonial Williamsburg site: In 1770, William Waddill made eight silver handles, ten silver escutcheon plates, and a large silver plate for the coffin of Lord Botetourt. Both the silver and the original bill for the work still exist and are owned by the College of William & Mary. Our last visit to Williamsburg was just this weekend. On the next one if it's a weekday, we'll see about seeing these pieces and maybe shooting some images including Waddills mark if it's there. IP: Logged |
