I would like to find some information on a sterling maker's mark. The only thing on the bottom are the letters MFH and the #409 and Sterling. The 3 letters have funnel shap line's over and under, and short line's at the end of the letter's. I would think the set was from the 1920's ? Not sure about that either. Thanks for any help, Bob. It would be nice to see a picture, but it sounds like a mark used by M. Fred Hersch Company. They were manufactures and jobbers of sterling goods in Jersey City from c 1920-1945, selling out to Fisher Silver. IP: Logged |
