Has anyone seen a mark on coin silver that is Geni?ke & Caspary Detroit. The missing letter could be O,S,C or whatever. The piece is a reliquary from the last half of the 19th century. Sorry I don't have a picture. IP: Logged |

This is an old post. In 1884 Henry Caspary was a jeweler working at M S Smith & Co, Detroit, and in the same year, William was a clerk for Traub Bros, Detroit who were watchmakers and jewelers. In the 1885 Detroit City Directory, the two gentlemen first appear together in in their partnership as manufacturing jewelers at 43 Michigan Avenue. IP: Logged |
