Does anyone know right off who the Myers was that worked with Janke in Richmond, Virginia in the 1850's? I picked up some ca. 1860's spoons with a Myers mark I don't recall (just pretty spoons) but I wondered which Myers it was. They aren't Leon Myers of New Orleans and Memphis, but does anyone have any further information on him?

Maurice, could this be the Myers of St. Louis, who worked with Lopez? Does anyone have any thoughts at all? IP: Logged |

The likely suspects are S & J Myers or Samuel and Jacob Myers who were both born in the 1830's in England. They are listed variously as jewelers, wholesale jewelers, and importers of watches and watch materials in directories and census's in Boston between 1860 and 1880. IP: Logged |
