Hi I'm trying to find out what this small ladle? is called and used for. Thanks for your help.

It is generally known as a condiment ladle; relishes and thick sauces were very popular for seasoning food in the 19th century. IP: Logged |

Not that anybody is asking, but if it ever comes up and assuming it isn't already common knowledge, Harwood Brothers was formed in Boston in 1859 by Charles and Willard Harwood who were brothers from Medfield, Massachusetts. There were a number of watchmakers and jewelers in the family. IP: Logged |
