I have seen his Mark in combination with other makers, the latest incarnation I found I cannot place. Simple coin 1830-1840s fiddle with shoulder, but the mark is Serrated Cartouch, with "P.V.S. VOORHIS" followed by the ever present (Albany) "NY" Eagle... Thanks "Smaug" IP: Logged |

There is a P V S Voorhis in the 1830 U S Federal census in Lancaster, PA that was born in the 1790's. IP: Logged |

Peter Van Schaick Voorhis was born in Lancaster on 6 MAR 1798 and died there 3 FEB 1838. He was 3rd cousin of the New York silversmith Daniel Van Voorhis. IP: Logged |
