I logged the 10,000th hit on the condensed version of my American Silversmiths site this morning, so thought it high time I did an update. It now includes 2,906 smiths, jewelers, pewtersmiths, and other related craftsmen. As always, many thanks to those who have contributed corrections and additions. IP: Logged |

Your effort is appreacited by many you may never know, it has helped me to identify and or eliminate attribution of a number of the pieces in my collection. Thank You...! "Smaug" IP: Logged |

I have certainly used it and can appreciate the time and energy you have put into it. In two cases I have found information on there that I have not found in books. Seeing the actual marks is much more helpful then seeing a drawing of said marks. Getting other people involved by contributing their marks allows the site to grow and grow. Having it on line means it is accessible to most people and will be here in cyberspace for eternity. You are making a huge contribution to history. IP: Logged |

Continued thanks to all -- I'm starting to blush. . . And speaking of unsightly images, I had a moment today to do some spot checks and found several missing pictures. Apparently my FTP hiccupted during the upload, so I just did all 93 megs again. If you come across any still missing, I'd appreciate a note. IP: Logged |
