I just recently acquired a genealogy book that pertains to the Boelen family. This book is by "The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record" Vol. LXXII Number 4, October 1941. The first part of this book is entitled "Jacob Boelen, Goldsmith, of New York and His Family Circle" by Howard S.F. Randolph and Additions by Mrs. Margaret Hastings. This Record shows that Jacob was born in 1657 and his brother Hendrick was Baptized in 1661. There seems to have been another 14 year old boy (not part of the immediate family) that was born in 1645 and traveled with the Boelen family to America in 1659. They traveled on the ship De Trouw (the faith). This record ties in many of the early New York families with the Boelen's. I have seen some of your posts and from the tone of these, I know you are trying to be careful on what information you provide. There is a wealth of other genealogical information in this book.
