I recently purchased this Geer Terry spoon and I have questions about it. The overall size is 4 inches, and the handle is the narrowest I have ever seen. At first I thought maybe it had been altered, but the size of the mark, its placement and the drop area lead me to think otherwise. Is this just a really delicate demitasse spoon or does it have another purpose?

Hi Doc, I really have no basis for thinking that it is not in its original form except that it has no balance either in weight or visually. Also that the mark is so close to the end of the handle that If one put a full sized spoon next to it wouldn't it be in the middle of the handle? My vote is that it has been cut down... IP: Logged |

I agree. Perhaps the handle got chewed up and this was an attempt to salvage the spoon. IP: Logged |
