Does anyone have a good example of the mark used by James Lockwood of New York? I shall never be able to say Thank You enough times for all the assistance offered on past questions. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ad infinitum...........

Darling doesn't illustrate a mark (in case you don't have it to check). I can't remember if I have an example, but will keep it in mind next time I'm going through the NY drawer....

The mark is shown in Belden, under his name, and also in combination with marks of Colin Van Gelder Forbes (partnership of Forbes and Lockwood) and Thomas Milne. I thought I had posted the mark previously (the one with Milne), but the search doesn't bring it up. I will try to locate that piece or another and photograph it soon.

Above is a coffin spoon with Thomas Milne mark together with what I assume is the mark for Thomas Lockwood. Although faint, there is a pellet between the I and L. I would add that Milne had a better die maker than Lockwood.
