Did 'drops' on spoons originate as an artifact of the way they were made, or were they always a purely decorative part of the utensil? Or do they actually serve a reinforcing function? If this is too boring or newbie a question, feel free to refer me to a source that covers it. From references in other threads, it sounds as if I very much need to spend some time with the Belden book. The fact that it's a U.Va. press publication gives me hope of finding one without going too far afield (I'm in a college town not far away). IP: Logged |
