Here's old bored and lazy. And today I have an image of a 1777 tankard by Abraham DuBois of New Jersey, made for the Vanderveer family of Somerset County.
It was left to us back in 1961, by an elderly lady who, back in 1946, wasn't sure she could support a museum where "they displayed modern art." Luckily for us, she apparently forgot or got over her hostility. Anyone know more than I've found on the internet about DuBois' years in New Jersey (before he followed many of his peers and went to Philadelphia)? IP: Logged |

Hello! There is so much on the internet about him, I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. Maybe I'm just dense. Jersey [This message has been edited by jersey (edited 07-22-2008).] IP: Logged |
