George H Pearson son of Henry S Pearson jeweler and watchmaker appears in Portland, Maine directories and census's from at least 1851 onwards which included time spent working with his father and on his own. In the 1851 Portland, Maine directory there is a Moses and Thomas Pearson. Both were silversmiths. IP: Logged |

It may also be worth mentioning here that in the 1860 U S Federal Census for Portland Maine both Henry S and George H Pearson are listed as mathematical intrument makers. Not surprisingly William Senter is also listed in this particular census with the Pearsons which included wife Elizabeth. William's trade was jeweler. IP: Logged |
