There is a Frederick E Knight listed as a silversmith in the 1880 U S Federal Census for Concord, New Hampshire. However, no Frederick A Knights are listed that were silversmiths. Frederick E Knight is listed as a silversmith at Durgin's in the 1872 through 1881 Concord Directories. Frederick E Knight is listed as a silversmith on his own at 11 School in the 1881 through at least the 1885 Concord Directories. IP: Logged |

Hi bascall, The information you have been providing us is great. Can I make a suggestion? What do you think about adding the names and attributions as group listings, that is several in one posting, as opposed to one at a time? Richard, That is a good idea. Sadly, it's just not how I work best. I'm not organized, a record keeper or a note taker. Things that other folks on this forum are extremely good at. When I find something, it's best for me to get it out somewhere if there is a place to do that which is why these forums work so well for me. Sometimes after finding something that seems interesting, it's harder for me to go back and find it again than it was to come across it the first time. If I dare say it, I feel like it adds a little vitality to the site to have many small inputs versus occasional large posts. Hopefully, as time goes by, when you search a name, something I've contributed to will come up. Ultimately, if these piece meal inputs turn out to have little value, I'll think of another way of going about this, and yours is the obvious. My sincere thanks for your encouraging comment and suggestion. IP: Logged |
