Outwest, Your gut feeling was correct and these tongs are coin and were probably made by Abraham Fellows in one of his various locations in New York prior to 1850. The seller was wrong about his 1900-1940 date. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Tad. The seller was from the New York area, too. But, I thought Fellows included the A. in his punch? [This message has been edited by outwest (edited 03-04-2006).] IP: Logged |

Outwest, Kovel's just shows a Abraham Fellows Mark without the initial A. Darling shows the marks with and without the A. Belden does not show the mark for Abraham but shows it for James Fellows stating it may be the mark of Abraham Fellows. Von Khrum lists Abraham but this book does not list marks. Tad IP: Logged |
